ANTI-INTELLECTUALISM IN AMERICA

More people in our culture don't think of intelligence as a superpower because what the main focus is money. Everyone just knows that money is power regardless where you come from, it's like the normal. The media and our own school doesn't champion academic accomplishments the way we celebrate football games and rallies because there is a very large amount of people who think keep up with school and good grades is not fun. So many people fear, critize, and insult smart people in class or the work place b3ecause in a sense they're better than them. In a sense we have absolutely become the society that Ray Bradbury feared.
