ANCIENT RHETORIC IN MODERN TIMES

The elements of ethos, pathos, logos, and kairos I notice in The Ethical Challenges Self-Driving Cars Will Face Everyday that jump out at me are :

ETHOS: The author, Johannes Himmelreich talks to us in a way we can understand, from this I understood that philosophers have to answer difficult questions by his tone expressed in the text.

PATHOS: From this article, the main focusis that self-driving cars are the better way to go nowadays because humans are not the best drivers, also in the future if self-driving cars succeed things like trafic lights will be a thing of the past.

LOGOS: The message of the article is that self-driving cars are improving to drive much safer than humans. These cars have much more trouble with certain things than human, that's known as Moravec's Paradox.

KAIROS:  Self-driving cars are the perfect thing to talk about now because technology advances everyday, why wouldn't self-driving cars exist nowadays. ( I kind of don't understand kairos)

These elements make the article and the arguements within it more effective because it easier to understand the beliefs and the overall message the author wanted to give us, and thats the struggles of self-driving cars. If any elements took away from the arguements it would maybe have to be kairos, I honestly don't see it and understand it.
